At the last meeting it was suggested that we move the St. Clair #2 Launch Site from Algonac to Marine City because of the other two large tournaments leaving from that site at the same time as our Tournament.  Kevin you were going to follow up with Roger and let the Club know.  We should get the information out pretty quickly because we only have 1 week before the Tournament.

I'd like to see the tournament launch out of Marine City so we don't have as many boats, considering all 3 tournaments will probably be coming in within a 1/2 hour of each other.  It'll be a disaster at the launch.

I'll contact roger in the morning, But some of the guys  afterwords suggest we keep in at that launch, Since some guys are planning on going to fish the lake. Marine City would be to far to drive. If we fish from Marine city That means everyone would have to get a Canadian license. Algonac  is right in the middle.

Kevin, thanks for your reply and of course you’re correct it would not be beneficial to the guys fishing the main Lake if we moved further north.  This is why you have been such an excellent President for the last two years, you’re always looking at the Big Picture.

that is also why we fish 9 hours on lake st clair and only 8 hours on inland lakes,.for guys to have extra travel time due to the larger body of water...  if you wanted, you could extend the tournament an extra 15 minutes or 30 minutes to give even more travel time due to the launch location...  just an idea..  derrek

Depends on how many are fishing the main lake and if we stay there deal with 50 other boats. Also, why does one HAVE to get a candian license just because we move the launch to Marine City, its only an extra 10 minutes away.I guess we will see what our tournamnet director decides.

marine city is only 7 to 8 miles north of algonac, that is less than 10 minutes run time for these boats...  that does not rule out going to the lake.  derrek

I don't think guys are worried about the time so much as they are the gas.  I still want to launch from Marine City, but I think gas is the bigger deal for most guys.

I would rather launch from Marine City. We went to the launch Sunday and it was not crowded  at all they didn't even have the guard shack open. It is only a few miles. Another idea is what we used to do on the big lake down south. Let the people that want to launch at other launches leave 15 min. early from Marine City to go to another launch to put thier boats in. We would end the tourament at the same time but give the people 15 extra mins. to get back to Marine City for the weigh in.

That is really hard to do that. It will hard to get the right non boat owners to the right launch. Just need to pick a launch.

roger, You have to pick a launch, guys may need to get the right license, and for the run time not everyone has the 200 hp 20ft boats. these are the boats that should have no problem going where ever. 10 minutes in calm water.

We will launch from Marine City. the meeting will be at 6:00 AM and will launch at 6:30 am and fish untill 3:30 PM. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILTY OF THE NON BOATER TO CONTACT HIS BOATER ABOUT CANADA LIC.  The only changes are Carl will fish with Mark Ribick and Nick Marsh will fish with Jeff Rudd If anyone is not fishing then please contact me and your boat partner.
