the only thing tied to that bobber is my boat keys, which do not catch many fish.

Derrek’s Secret is out.  If you look closely at the picture with Jamal, Dan and Derrek in on the website you will see Derrek’s secret lure.  Yes he is holding it in his hands.  For all these years we had thought he was using a Scum Frog but now we know that it really is a BOBBER.  Now we just have to find out what kind of bait he ties to it.  Just kidding Derrek.

A big thanks to Dave for bringing most of the food, and Bryan for cooking and fixing Ribick's boat.  I really enjoyed getting together with some of the guys before the tournament to eat.  It would be nice if we could do it more often, but I don't like any of you enough to wake up and eat breakfast BEFORE a morning tournament.

On behalf of all the Club Officer’s I’d like to offer our sincere thanks and job well done at our most recent tournament on Pontiac Lake.  The pre-tournament dinner went really well and we hope to have more of these in the future.(Great Idea Mark)  As for the tournament itself well let’s say it was as much a success as Pontiac Lake could offer.  There were very few big fish weighed in but as a whole the Club did pretty darn good.  Congratulations to Jamal for coming in first place as well as Dan Houser and Derrek Zdeb for coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively.  This was properly one of the best night tournaments this Club has seen in many a year, the food was good, there were fish to catch and again the tournament came off without a single glitch, once again a big vote of thanks goes out to Mark and his staff.  As a whole this tournament season has been one of the best organized tournament schedules in quite a while.  Next time you see Mark give him hearty thanks and job well.  Please remember we are still looking for a Tournament Director for the 2011 season, please don’t be shy remember that if you have any questions Mark would be more than happy to give his opinion on how these tournaments should be run.  After all look how successful this season has been. (Sorry Mark I might have jinxed you for the last tournament)

               Your Club Secretary

What lake are we talking about?  Unfortunately our Club Classic is on the last weekend of September so the date is important here.

I got a call last night from one of the guys from the Iowa team. Darryl and I took the Iowa team fishing last year. They were tring to see if we would do it again this year. They are having the tournament either the last week end in Sept or the first week end in Oct. He told me that the team from UM last in charge. I know that Iowa will need at least another boat.
